Mastering Money Basics adheres to the philosophy “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” Our mission is to assist our schools in developing financially literate adults. For the students this means teaching them how to be the best stewards of their money. For the teachers and principals this means building better teamwork, communication, research and problem solving skills and imparting them to the students they interact with. For our communities and country this means a more informed and financially literate populace; which contributes to the economic well being of society as a whole.

After years of development, designing the very best way to engage our youth in learning financial responsibility, in 2011, “Mastering Money Basics.” launched its first annual It was a resounding success. Children from all over Nebraska participated. We heard astonishing things from everyone involved: the teachers, the children, the parents and the principals. It was electrifying. We were overjoyed to see this level of participation. The feedback confirmed; our message was focused and engaging.

Schools, public, private and homeschools across Nebraska have participated.

How itWorks

Designed to focus on several critical areas of learning: math, reasoning, visualization, creative writing, analytical skills, team work, writing and grammar. These skills are critical for higher learning; both in school and throughout life's journey.
